The Frog Commissions: created first for a marriage proposal and then for the wedding cake. The frogs are based on a gift that the gentleman had bought the bride when they were in elementary school. He didn't have the nerve to give it to her at the time, but when they reconnected as adults, she was given the little frog and it became a treasured item.
2022 marked the 5th anniversary of the happy couple so a new sculpture was commissioned. It's not my usual fare but who can resist a couple in love?
"The Pickle": commissioned for my teacher and friend Tim See by his grandmother as a Christmas present. Apparently she teased him that he is not famous because he did not own his own airplane, but now he does. (That's a potter's wheel behind Tim, the pilot.)
Bailey: My stepson's wife requested a portrait of their dog in sculpture form for Christmas 2020. I had to work from photos, of which there were many!
